Hagbard Celine — second lead
What the novel actually gives (full-trilogy search, 2026-09-06): big and burly, powerful muscles under the black-and-green striped nautical sweater, a grip like King Kong, olive skin, dark features, a white-toothed grin that breaks through them, a hairy arm, Sicilian father and Norwegian mother, long black Italian cigars, roars with laughter, an "old malicious grin". No eye colour, no hair, no nose, no facial hair is ever described. Everything below the sweater line on these cards is casting invention, which is what a spread is for.
Correction: candidate B (fair, ruddy, blond) contradicts the text's olive skin and dark features. I built that axis off the Norwegian mother line before reading the whole book. B stays on the sheet for comparison but is off-text; A, C and D are consistent with the novel.

George Dorn — the eyes
What the novel actually gives (full-trilogy search, 2026-09-06): twenty-three by his own word, shoulder-length blond hair "that made him look like a Giotto angel", "that long-haired hippie", a young white radical, a would-be musician who let his hair grow long and never became one. No eye colour or face beyond that. The bible's never-clauses stand: never older than twenty-five, never cool.
Correction: my first wave had three dark or red heads, which contradicts the text. I built that wave off the bible's brief before reading the whole book. Three blond candidates were re-rendered (E, F, G) and lead the row with B; A, C and D drop to the reference row below.

Canonical locks adopted from the circled plates, then the outfit build with the lock as the only reference, then the 3-panel sheet from the approved outfit render. All free lane, zero spend. The lock plate is the identity benchmark; the sheet is the @image1 body reference for every render. Hagbard's face panel came back a shade more weathered than his lock, which is within tolerance. Wardrobe from the text: Hagbard's black-and-green striped nautical sweater over dark slacks and deck boots; George in 1975 kid-reporter denim (my choice, the novel gives him only "shirt" and "trousers").
