For six thousand years a mist has lingered. This is the light that burns it away.

In July 2026 the United States Mint began striking a one-dollar coin with a living man's face on it — against a law written into the same act that authorised the coin. Ninety-one years earlier a president did something with a picture on American money that nobody has fully explained. In April 1933, Executive Order 6102 made it illegal for an American to own gold. In February 1935 the Supreme Court's Gold Clause Cases cut the last legal thread between a dollar and metal. And in the same year the back of the Great Seal — the unfinished pyramid and the eye, filed away for 153 years because the Freemasons themselves considered it the symbol of a secret society — came out of the drawer and went into every pocket in the country.

Put the dates in a row: 1913, 1933, 1935, 1957, 1971. This film argues they are one operation — every material anchor removed from the currency, and a symbolic one installed in its place.
